All about Native Grasses

We’ve spent a few years (collectively, a life-time!) learning all about indigenous grasses through re-instating the critically endangered grasslands of Victoria. As it works out, grasses are a hugely diverse, habitat-providing and exceptionally attractive non-invasive addition to your backyard! Come and meet some of the grasses we know and love, and take home a few species for your yard to boost biodiversity and aesthetic! We just know you will enjoy supporting the richness of native grasses as much as we do by the end of this workshop!

Introduction to Indigenous Plant ID

With approximately 64% of Victoria’s native plants now listed on the threatened species advisory list, we need more plant nerds to help identify and protect our natural assets.

This hands-on workshop introduces the basics of indigenous plant identification through simple observation skills and the use of tools like iNaturalist. You’ll learn how to recognise key plant features while spending time outdoors and enjoying the wellbeing benefits of green time.
